An Unforgettable Italian Journey
Experience the very best of Italy on a wonderful journey through Rome, Florence and Venice, combining magnificent history, world-famous art, unforgettable food and some truly special experiences along the way.
Rome
The Eternal City & an Audience with Pope Leo
Begin in Rome, where ancient history and modern Italian life meet around every corner. A private guide and driver will take you on an exclusive tour of the city's most famous sights, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona. With your own guide, there is time to discover the stories and hidden details behind Rome's extraordinary monuments while travelling comfortably between the sights.
A particularly memorable experience will be a visit to Vatican City, with the opportunity to attend an audience with Pope Leo XIV. This will be a very special moment during the journey, experiencing the atmosphere of St Peter's Square and seeing the Pope in person.
Continue with a visit to St Peter's Basilica, and, if desired, the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo's extraordinary ceiling provides one of the great artistic experiences in the world.
Evenings in Rome are made for leisurely dinners, perhaps enjoying traditional Roman cuisine before taking an evening stroll through the beautifully illuminated streets and piazzas.
Florence
Renaissance Masterpieces & Wine Windows
Travel north to Florence, the magnificent home of the Renaissance. Spend time exploring the city's extraordinary museums, options including the Uffizi Gallery, with masterpieces by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, and the Accademia, home to Michelangelo's famous David.
Discover the magnificent Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the elegant Ponte Vecchio, taking time to enjoy Florence at a relaxed pace.
One of the more unusual experiences will be a walk through Florence in search of its historic wine windows — the buchette del vino. These tiny openings in the walls of historic palaces were once used by noble families to sell wine directly to customers. Florence has around 170 surviving wine windows, and some have been brought back to life, allowing visitors to enjoy a glass of wine through these fascinating little openings.
Venice
Palaces, Canals & Private Water Taxis
Continue to Venice, where the experience begins the moment you arrive. Enjoy a private water taxi, gliding along the Venetian waterways towards your hotel or luxury apartment. Arriving by water offers a spectacular first glimpse of the palaces, bridges and churches rising directly from the Grand Canal.
Explore St Mark's Square, St Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, before wandering through Venice's quieter streets and picturesque canals.
Murano
The Island of Glass
One of the optional highlights will be a private excursion by boat to Murano, the island famous throughout the world for its extraordinary glassmaking tradition. The craft has been practised there continuously since the late 13th century.
Visit a traditional glass workshop and watch skilled craftsmen create beautiful pieces by hand before exploring the island's charming canals and the Murano Glass Museum, which houses an important historic collection of Murano glass.
Return to Venice by private water taxi as the afternoon light reflects across the lagoon.
A Journey to Remember
This Italian adventure brings together the grandeur of Rome, the artistic treasures of Florence and the romance of Venice, with experiences that go beyond the usual sightseeing.
From a memorable audience with Pope Leo XIV, to a private tour of Rome's legendary sights, Renaissance masterpieces and historic Florentine wine windows, and finally the magic of Venice, Murano and private water taxis, this is Italy at its most elegant, cultural and unforgettable.
